Apple Pay has finally landed in France as Apple continues to expand its mobile payments service into new markets 20 months after it made its initial debut in the U.S. MasterCard and Visa debit and credit cards are supported from a number of local banks.

Those include Banque Populaire, Carrefour Banque, Ticket Restaurant, and Caisse d’Epargne. Apple’s website for France tells us that Boon and Orange will also be added soon.

Apple Pay has been pretty slow to rollout in Europe, though Apple has promised that the service will also make its way to Spain sometime this year. It was previously reported that the launch for France was held up because Apple couldn’t reach a deal with local banks.

Sources claimed that French banks wanted the same deal as those in China, with which Apple agreed to halve its share of the transaction fee. It’s unclear whether Apple gave in, or whether French banks will pay the same as those in other markets.

To get started with Apple Pay, simply open up the Wallet app on a compatible device and add a supported credit or debit card. The service is available on the iPhone 6s series, the iPhone 6 series, iPhone SE, Apple Watch, iPad Pro, iPad Air 2, iPad mini 3 and iPad mini 4.
